Maronite Bishops call for speedy Cabinet formation

Maronite Bishops called on Wednesday for the speedy formation of a new government in Lebanon in order to safeguard Lebanon’s rights “especially gas and oil.”

The Bishops also expressed relief for the International and Arab efforts in this regard, voicing hopes that these efforts will be a way “to free Lebanon from internal tensions and external interference.”

They also asserted that they stand beside Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai in his national endeavors aiming at saving Lebanon and the restoration of its sovereignty and its free decision through the formation of a “salvation government that implements the required reforms.
