Lebanese Army thwarts smuggling operation to Syria-[PHOTOS]

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation announced on May 11 that the army units in Bekaa and the North arrested ten Lebanese citizens and two Syrians.

They also seized two cars, three vans and four pickups loaded with about 4200 litters of gasoline and 800 litters of fuel oil in addition to 13 tons of flour that were meant to be smuggled to Syria.

The Army command said in a statement that the confiscated materials were handed over and an investigation with the detainees has begun under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.
