Guidanian to LBCI: We should benefit from deterioration of Lebanese pound to promote tourism

Former Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian said on Thursday that the difficult tourism situation started in 2012, adding that attempts were made to compensate for Gulf tourism to reduce losses.

Guidanian’s comments were made during an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV show whereby he noted that the country should benefit from the deterioration of the Lebanese pound to promote tourism which is the only way to receive fresh US dollars.

He called on leaders to set a vision today to save the tourism sector next year.
