Bekdache to LBCI: Industry sector prospered in local markets

Vice President of the board of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists Ziad Bekdache said on Saturday that the industry sector in Lebanon prospered in local markets, adding that sales in some sectors increased between 20 and 25%.

Bekdache’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he noted that sales were supposed to be much higher but the purchasing power of the Lebanese citizen has declined."

He also pointed out that "the problem today is the difficulty of finding raw materials," reassuring that the industrial situation is “good.”
