Aoun meets Mawlawi: Kordahi's statements do not reflect viewpoint of Lebanese State

President of the Republic Michel Aoun affirmed during his meeting with Minister of Interior Bassam Mawlawi that Lebanon is keen on the best relations with the brotherly Arab countries, stressing that Lebanon will do everything that contributes to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia standing by the people of Lebanon.

In reference to the statements made by Minister of Information George Kordahi, President Aoun pointed out that these statements were made before his appointment as minister and therefore “do not reflect the viewpoint of the Lebanese state,” noting that “the positions of any Lebanese political party are not to be considered the positions of the Lebanese state and should be dealt with on this basis.”
