Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned on Monday the attack near Abu Dhabi airport which left a number of people dead and many injured.
“All our solidarity goes to the United Arab Emirates, its head and people, against this blatant aggression, which threatens the security and stability of the UAE and is part of a scheme aimed at creating confusion and sending bloody messages, which has never been a solution to any conflict,” Mikati added.
For his part, former Prime Minister Saad Hariri issued a statement in this regard in which he called for an “Arab stand that protects the Gulf, its security and people, and stops Iranian expansion in our countries and societies.”
"These are Iranian drones par excellence that targeted the UAE capital and engaged in open hostility against Arab security and Arab success in various facets of advancement, openness, and modernity,” he added.
