Wife of late Lokman Slim awarded Franco-German prize for human rights and rule of law - [VIDEO]
In a joint cooperation between the French and German embassies in Lebanon, the Franco-German Prize for Human Rights and the Rule of Law for the year 2021 was awarded to the wife of the late Lokman Slim, Monika Borgmann, director of UMAM, an NGO for Documentation and Research.

According to the French Embassy, the award has been presented annually since 2016 to people who have made an exceptional contribution to the protection and promotion of human rights and the rule of law in their countries and at the international level, and in recognition of research work on identity issues, past violence, and dialogue between different societies.
