Jean Beiruti to LBCI: Lebanese people have a spirit of resistance, a love of life
Secretary General of the Federation of Tourism Establishments Jean Beiruti highlighted on Saturday the solution for tourist institutions in light of the financial crisis as well as the currency crash, explaining that it is by adopting the prices in USD.

Beiruti’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show on LBCI, whereby he stressed that COVID-19 had boosted domestic tourism, with guest houses and internal tourist initiatives springing up in places like Akkar and Jezzine.

He also mentioned that Lebanese expatriates from Brazil, Argentina, and Sweden will be visiting Lebanon this summer.

“Lebanon has become the world's cheapest tourist country,” Beiruti indicated, adding that there is a shortage of accommodation.

He then concluded by saying that “the Lebanese people have a spirit of resistance and a love of life.”
