Caretaker Culture Minister al-Mortada inaugurates newly discovered artifacts at Louvre Museum
Caretaker Minister of Culture Mohammad Wissam al-Mortada inaugurated on Saturday at the Louvre Museum in Paris, an exhibition of artifacts recently discovered at the archaeological site of Byblos, in cooperation with a joint mission from the Directorate General of Antiquities and the Louvre Museum.
 
On the sidelines of the exhibition, al-Mortada and the accompanying delegation toured the Louvre Museum, and met with senior officials, led by Ariane Thomas, who praised the cooperation between the two sides. 
 
Talks tackled during the tour a number of joint bilateral projects and means to develop and strengthen relations between the two sides for the benefit of both Lebanon and France.
 
The temporary exhibition of antiquities displayed in the Lebanese pavilion at the Louvre will continue until September 11.
