Meeting held over measures to take after collapse of part of Beirut Port silos
Caretaker Public Works Minister Ali Hamieh confirmed on Tuesday that the ministry will send a letter to Khatib and Alami Company in order to reveal the situation of the Beirut Port silos above and below and on the ground, pointing out that the Ministry of Works will send a full report with the results to the Council of Ministers.

Hamieh’s comments were made during a press conference held after a meeting that discussed the measures to be taken following the collapse of the northern part of Beirut Port silos, in the presence of Caretaker Economy Minister Amin Salam and Caretaker Minister of Environment Nasser Yassin.

For his part, Salam indicated that the Economy Ministry discussed the issue of food security last week, and it was agreed that they would benefit from a space in the port of Tripoli as a space had been set up in the port of Beirut.
