Mikati holds series of meetings in Egypt -[PHOTOS]

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati held on Monday a series of meetings on the sidelines of  the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP27 that is taking place in Egypt.

 

First, Mikati met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and his Iraqi counterpart Mohammed Shia Al Sudani.

 

He also met with his Pakistani counterpart Shehbaz Sharif over the means to develop the bilateral ties.
 
Mikati later met with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva.

He discussed with her the steps taken by Lebanon since the signing of the initial agreement between Lebanon and the Fund.

 

Georgieva hoped that Lebanon would move quickly to complete the necessary steps to sign the final agreement with the IMF before the world's attention is diverted by other matters.
