Indonesian crocodile with tire stuck around neck seeks relief

An Indonesian conservation authority in central Sulawesi on Friday was searching for people who could help a crocodile in need, after they spotted it with a tire stuck around its neck.

Head of central Sulawesi Natural Resources and Conservation Center Hasmuni Hasman told journalists that the person who could successfully release the crocodile would be rewarded with a payment.

Hasman said the tire could kill the reptile if it was not removed and said the appeal had been launched as they could not find an expert to carry out the task.
