REPORT: Lebanese army continues its advances on 4th day of offensive
The Lebanese army continued on Tuesday its advances in the border towns of Ras Baalbek and al-Qaa on the fourth day in a row of “Fajer al-Jouroud”
operation against ISIS militants.

It freed till today 100  out of 120 square kilometers occupied by ISIS on the Lebanese-Syrian border.

The army spokesman General Ali Qanso announced this afternoon in a press conference that the army destroyed nine ISIS positions and no militants were captured.

Meanwhile, fierce clashes are taking place between the advancing army units and ISIS terrorists.

Many rebels, alongside thousands of refugees fleeing violence from neighboring Syria took shelter on the Lebanese side of the border strip.

Northeastern Lebanon witnessed the worst spillovers of Syria's war into Lebanon in 2014, when Islamic State and al-Nusra Front militants attacked the town of Arsal.

Nine Lebanese troops were kidnapped by ISIS during the raid and their fate is still unknown.
