REPORT: Army holds press conference on 4th day of offensive
The Lebanese army held on Tuesday a press conference to brief the media and the Lebanese people on the fourth day of its offensive against ISIS militants in the border towns of Ras Baalbek and al-Qaa.
 
Speaking on behalf of the army, General Ali Qanso said that the military “freed until today 100  out of 120 square kilometers occupied by ISIS on the Lebanese-Syrian border.
 
He also announced that the army destroyed nine ISIS positions, killed several militants with no one of them being captured.
 
Qanso stressed that the main goal of the army is to find the abducted troops, adding that there are no information until this moment about their fate.
 
He concluded by saying that one soldier was killed and four others were injured after an explosive device exploded in their vehicle.
