REPORT: LAF Commander says army’s offensive achieved its goals
Lebanese Armed Force Commander General Jospeh Aoun declared on Wednesday the end of the Lebanese army’s “Fajer al-Jouroud” operation in the border towns of Ras Baalbek and al-Qaa against ISIS militants.

Aoun’s comments were made during a press conference from the Baabda Presidential Palace whereby he said that the offensive achieved its set goals.

He also noted that no ISIS militants are in the army’s captivity, saying that they whether flee the battlefields or were killed.

This as sources told LBCI that an official funeral will be held for the fallen soldiers after the completion of the DNA tests.
