REPORT: General Labor Union head: A general strike to be held tomorrow

Head of the General Labor Union Bechara Asmar declared on Monday that a strike will be held tomorrow (Tuesday), adding for the immediate implementation of the pay scale law.

 

Asmar’s comments were made during a press conference whereby he said that imposing taxes and low income families is “unacceptable.”

 

He also lamented the government’s failure in finding resources to finance the pay scale after five years of discussions.
