REPORT: Decades overdue, plan set to appoint economic attachés

Since 1972, economic attachés were supposed to be appointed at Lebanese embassies abroad, but this decision failed to be implemented and is not expected to see the light before 2018.

This comes with a plan set up by Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil in order to boost the ministry and activate the foreign hand of the Lebanese economy.

The 7th of January is the deadline to submit applications for the position while the exams will be held on January 15.
