REPORT: Is the state ready to reduce number of public sector employees should McKinsey demands it?

Until the end of 2015, 345 thousand people have been profiting from the salaries and end of service pensions of the Lebanese state. They included 210 thousands employees, 110 thousands retirees and 15 thousands municipality employees.

This number is expected to increase significantly over the upcoming years, which will put the state before several difficulties in fulfilling its commitments.
