Prime Minister Saad Hariri declared that the government has set up a road map for stability, growth and creating new job opportunities, noting that it started with a meeting of the International Support Group and will be followed up on during the second Rome conference to support the Lebanese army and the military and security institutions, as well as during Paris conference to support economic stability in Lebanon.
During a meeting at the Commerce and Industry Chamber in Beirut, Hariri noted that the program of Paris conference includes more than 250 projects distributed among the sectors of transportation, water, electricity, sewage as well as sectors related to Telecom, public health, education and Lebanon’s cultural heritage.
The PM stated that the goal of Paris conference is to guarantee required funding to implement these projects, through loans from international financial institutions and funds and from friend states.
Hariri also emphasized that there will be no additional taxes in the 2018 budget, pointing out that they will present incentives to support the private sector.
