REPORT: Berri calls students for starting a “constitutional uprising”

Speaker Nabih Berri urged on Saturday students from the Lebanese American University to start a constitutional uprising through democratic means.

​Berri's comments were made during a visit made by the students to meet him at the Parliament whereby he urged them to take the initiative to develop the electoral system immediately after holding the parliamentary elections.

“The proportional vote is more than necessary to Lebanon but it is not the proportionality that​ you and I dream of it,” Berri said to the students.
