LBCI accompanied British Ambassador Hugo Shorter in his first visit to the observation towers funded by his country and turned into advanced border points by the Lebanese Armed Forces in the mountainous region of the northeastern town of Arsal.
During this tour, the ambassador praised the Lebanese army’s operation that led to changing the security situation in the regions of Arsal, expressing pride over the partnership between his country and the LAF in the effort to secure the land for Lebanon.
“Before the war last summer, I would not have been able to go into Arsal,” he said.
