Owners of restaurants and touristic facilities in the southern city of Tyre staged a protest, whereby they denounced what they called “rumors spread about the region’s beach being polluted.”
The protesters rejected all the rumors that aim only at affecting the touristic and economic season of the city.
Mayor Salah Sabrawi stressed that lab tests show that Tyre’s beach and sea are not polluted, noting that the municipality is perfectly monitoring the situation.
