Around one thousand deceased employees are still getting paid by the Lebanese state, and more than 30 thousand receive their salaries without being present at their place of work.
These facts were revealed by Labora institution this July, prompting caretaker Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil to send a letter to the country’s financial prosecutor, demanding investigation into the matter and the adoption of the adequate measures.
