The Ministry of Health decided to withdraw a number of medicines from the market because they contain a substance called “Valtarsan”.
This news of this withdrawal raised panic among the patients and their families and many questions yet to be answered.
The ministry explained in a statement that an error occurred during the production of the primary Valtarsan in China which affected some medicines that use this substance.
Therefore, the Ministry of Health reassured the people, calling on them not to panic and stressing that other types of drugs that don’t contain Valtarsan are safe to consume.
