According to the former MP Ismail Sukariya, who has been following up on the file of medicine and hospitalization for many years, two types of vaccines related to lung infections sold for a price of LBP 23,000, have been withdrawn from the market, to be replaced by two other vaccines with a price exceeding LBP 124,000.
However, the Health Ministry said that the source of said information is not reliable; explaining that the cheaper vaccines were not withdrawn from market in favor of other ones, but the company stopped their production.
Sukariya raised several other issues related to manipulation and waste in the public health sector, mainly in the issue of vaccines.
