People of all ages and from all Lebanese regions accompanied the relics of St. Marina while being transported from Diman to the Holy Valley of Qannoubine.
The Lebanese saint, who wore a monk’s clothes when raised in Qannoubine, returned to her hometown after an absence of around 800 years since her body was transported to Italy by the Crusaders.
The relics are expected to remain in Qannoubine until Sunday evening, in case the valley was able to contain the number of visitors flocking to the region; otherwise the relics will be returned to Diman.
On Monday, the saint’s relics will be transported back to Italy.
