Speaker Nabih Berri has already declared that should the delay in the cabinet formation persist, he will call for a consultation session at the parliament.
According to sources close to PM-designate Saad Hariri, the parliament’s rules of procedures does not mention consultation session, a parliamentary session could be either a general discussion session or legislative.
In this regard, Berri sources said that the speaker can call on the parliament to hold a session at any time, under a caretaker cabinet, in order to discuss the country’s general situation.
