Protest staged against solid waste management law

Protesters staged on Monday a sit-in at the Riyad al-Soleh Square against the solid waste management law.

The protesters called the MPs to further study the law before ratifying it.

MP Osama Saad who attended the sit-in said that the law will impose dangerous repercussions on the health of the Lebanese people.

For her part, MP Paula Yacoubian said that the law must not be ratified, adding that the rate of cancer cases in Lebanon is increasing.
