The proposal presented by the Lebanese Forces party for the caretaker cabinet to hold an extraordinary session, mainly to tackle the critical economic situation exclusively, has not made the needed impact.
President Michel Aoun had informed the concerned parties when presenting the proposal that the priority is to form a cabinet, adding that all the efforts must be dedicated for this end.
Caretaker Justice Minister Salim Jreissati, in a statement to LBCI, deemed the LF’s proposal as a constitutional heresy, noting that discussions an economic plan, means a long term plan, which must not be passed by a caretaker cabinet.
