Pay scale cost calculated based on figures from 2013 and 2014

It seems to be impossible to have one correct figure of the cost of the new pay scale in Lebanon.

This comes as different sources estimate that the cost of the pay scale could reach LBP 3,000 billion in 2019.

While looking for unofficial documents to try to estimate the cost, it appeared that the estimations for the pay scale cost in 2015, which means before it was passed, reached LBP 1940 billion, to become in fact in October 2017 LBP 2627 billion.

The inability to determine the real number of the Public Sector employees is the reason behind the failure of estimating the real cost of the pay scale.

The calculation was actually done on the basis that the number of beneficiaries in 2013-2014 reached 165,300 persons.
