The Ehden massacre that created a deep rift between Christians in Lebanon

The rift between the Maronites in Lebanon goes back to the massacre of Ehden, which former President Elias Sarkis expressed fear that it would lead to a one-hundred-year war between the Maronites.

The war did not last 100 years, but its repercussions remained for 40 years, from 1978 until 2018.
