Bassil meets March 8 Sunnite MPs

A meeting was held on Monday between Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Gebran Bassil and the Consultative Gathering.

 

Following the meeting, Bassil dubbed the talks as “frank where remarks were made in order to reach a solution for the Cabinet formation.”

 

“President Michel Aoun is not taking a side in the Sunnite representation issue,” he added.

 

Speaking on behalf of the MPs, MP Abdel Rahim Mrad said that Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri “must make concessions.”

 

“The Consultative Gathering will meet to study its next moves,” he added.
