Wahhab and Hariri supporters exchange threats of revenge

The Wahhab-Hariri case continued to unfold with supporters of both sides engaging in a debate on social media platforms.

In a video posted online, Wahhab supporters threatened PM-designate Saad Hariri and expressed solidarity with former Minister Wiam Wahhab.

From Syria, a group of people calling themselves “Salman al-Farsi – Special Unit” Brigade also posted a video sending threats to Hariri.

From Tariq al-Jdideh, a response to the brigade’s video came from young people calling themselves “Martyr Rafiq Hariri’s branch”, who directed their threats to Wahhab.

Sources from the Future Movement told LBCI that the movement has nothing to do with the video that contradicts with the values and culture of the party, calling on their supporters to hold on to the state and its institutions.

In this context, sources told LBCI that the ISF’s Information Branch has been analyzing the Tariq al-Jdideh video in order to reveal the identity of the men.
