Two years after the signing, the State Ministry for Anti-Corruption Affairs brought back to the forefront a contract signed by Middle East Airlines to buy planes for the company, due to doubts raised concerning its content.
In a statement, the ministry said that the company has become hybrid, as Banque Du Liban owns 99% of its shares, while 1% is owned by others, stating therefore that its shares were paid by public funds.
