President Aoun says he seeks to put an end for Cabinet formation crisis

President Michel Aoun met on Thursday with a RAND Center for Middle East Public Policy delegation at the Baabda Palace.

 

During the meeting, Aoun said that he is seeking to put an end to the cabinet formation crisis by starting meetings with the concerned parties to take the appropriate decisions.

 

President Aoun stressed that the economic situation is “difficult,” saying that "things are not impossible.”

 

“We will take the appropriate measures and make structural reforms within the framework of the economic system,” he added.

 

“We will launch development projects with a European help to start rebuilding Lebanon and the implementation of the new economic plan," he stressed.

 

On another note, Aoun stressed that the country is still bearing the economic consequences of the war in Syria and in the region.
