Lack of safety and hygiene standards at justice palaces in Lebanon

Scenes from justice palaces across Lebanon prompted the Lebanese Judges Association to submit a report to the Public Prosecution to summon whoever is concerned or refer them to the concerned authorities.

The judges themselves spoke about the worsening situation at the justice palaces and the procrastination in renovations.

In some palaces, the elevators are broken; elsewhere water infiltrates the walls and ceilings and reaches files and documents, failing infrastructure is apparent, power outages hit during working hours, only one restroom for the citizens and staff, while the other restrooms are private and can be accessed only by those who have keys.
