All attention will be focused Sunday at the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit in Beirut, where Arab leaders were supposed to be meeting, but with the series of apologies from attending, the scene will change.
Out of 21 member states in the Arab League to which the presidency sent invitations to their leaders to attend the summit, ten had confirmed their attendance and those were Qatar, Kuwait, Sudan, Egypt, Tunisia, Mauritania, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine and Somalia.
However, after the Libyan flag incident, the level or representation dropped significantly, from presidents, Emirs, Kings and Sheikhs to a ministerial level and the series of apologies from attending started with Libya and was followed by other states.
