Egyptian FM tours Lebanese leaders

President Michel Aoun met on Friday with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Choukri at the Baabda Palace.

 

Following the meeting, Choukri asserted that his delegation will deploy efforts to ensure the weekend’s Arab Economic and Social Development Summit’s success.

 

He also said that the “frequent visits between the two countries confirm the keenness of the two sides to improve the bilateral relationship and contribute to Lebanon’s stability.

 

He also expressed to President Aoun Egypt’s support to Lebanon’s stability and security, adding that his country is ready to contribute in achieving this goal.

 

Later on, Speaker Nabih Berri received Choukri in Ain el-Tineh accompanied by Egyptian ambassador to Lebanon, Nazih Najari.

Following the meeting, Choukri asserted that the Lebanese-Egyptian relationship enjoys "a strong will, from both sides, to keep up the work at the political, economic and social levels."
