Berri: Hariri is about to intensify efforts in hope for government within a week

Speaker Nabih Berri asserted on Tuesday that Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri is about to intensify efforts in the hope that a next government will see the light within a week or less.

He also pointed out that the 32-minister formula is off the table for Hariri.

Berri’s comments were made after meeting with Hariri in Ain el-Tineh whereby he asserted that there are no disputes between Hariri and the Development and Liberation bloc or the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc.

He also confirmed that relations are good with President Michel Aoun and Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Gebran Bassil.
 
On another note, Berri stressed that "he knows very well what the country needs and what serves its interests," adding that the Israeli aggression are "in full swing."

This as he stressed that he will ask the Cabinet to convene in order to move forward with the Budget should a government is not formed.
