Berri calls for opening special parliamentary session to follow up on government work

Speaker Nabih Berri has requested on Wednesday the opening of an extraordinary parliamentary session to hold meetings to question the work of the government.

Berri considered that the ministerial statement discussion sessions imposed a reality that Parliament and ministers can no longer ignore, as 30 deputies spoke about corruption.

He said that the fight against corruption lies in law enforcement, underlining that difficult measures, to be adopted, should not entail the poor segments of society.
