For years, the decrees and laws in Lebanon have covered expenses by the billions to first-rank employees and others from lower ranks, as an allowance or compensation for their participation in committees, regardless of the number of these committees.
These compensations have been costing the state billions of Lebanese Pounds and are bound the increase with any salary raise.
Employees distributed or moving between 37 governmental committees and 68 committees affiliated to public institutions.
