Lebanese businessman Hassan Jabber returns to Beirut

Lebanese businessman Hassan Jaber arrived on Tuesday to Beirut International Airport, coming from Gabon through Turkey after being in detention in Ethiopia.

 

Jaber was received at the airport by MP Hani Qobeissi representing Speaker Nabih Berri and the Development and Liberation bloc, MP Yassine Jaber, Farah Berri representing Foreign Affairs Ministry, his lawyer and members of his family.

 

Speaking to reporters, Jaber accused the Israeli Mossad of being behind his arrest in Ethiopia.

 

For his part, MP Qobeissi said that Ethiopia’s airport is not safe anymore for the Lebanese nationals after what happened with Jaber, calling on the Lebanese people to avoid this airport.

 

In turn, MP Jaber said that he asked that a delegate would be sent to Ethiopia to ensure that what happened with Hassan Jaber does not happen again since “this airline is frequently used by the Lebanese."
