The detention of Hassan Jaber for a few days at Ethiopia’s airport, coming from Gabon, is a case that shed light on the struggles faced by expats in African airports due to political issues.
Since last week, Speaker Nabih Berri has been conducting contacts in order to add direct flights by the Middle East Airlines between Beirut and Gabon or its neighboring Kinshasa, capital of Congo, so that the Lebanese expats skip layovers when traveling to Lebanon.
