Mobile phone stores suspend sale of prepaid cards despite ministry’s proposed solution

The majority of owners of mobile phones stores staged a strike on Friday and suspended the sale of prepaid recharge cards (Alfa and Touch), due to the crisis related to lack of dollar in the market.

The shop owners decided to continue their abstention from selling these types of cards until next week, despite a proposed solution by Telecom Minister Mohammad Choucair to resolve the issue, by asking both companies Alfa and Touch to collect the payments half in Lebanese Pounds and half in USD.
