The electricity plan has been achieving successes in terms of improving collection of bills, ending violations and power theft, reducing technical waste and increasing subscriptions.

 

All these achievements are supposed to reduce the deficit suffered by Electricité Du Liban, but the full success of the plan depends on two main factors, launching the tenders related to the new power plants in Salaata and al-Zahrani, as well as Deir Amar 2; and starting the operation of the old and new plants functioning on gas rather than fuel oil and gas oil.
