Judge Ghada Aoun ordered the arrest of Director-General of the Traffic and Vehicles Management Authority Hoda Salloum on charges of bribery, forgery, waste of public funds, illegal enrichment and breach of duties.
The case dates back to March 2019, when attorney Wadih Akl filed a complaint before Judge Ghada Aoun, stating that there are violations, bribery and forgery in the documents of vehicles at the Nefaa.
A number of brokers were arrested then, but the Interior Ministry did not grant permission to prosecute Director-General of the Traffic and Vehicles Management Authority Hoda Salloum and a number of employees, a request presented by Judge Aoun.
But Judge Aoun later summoned Salloum and after interrogating her, she charged her with illegal enrichment as well as other charges.
