Ministers of Defense, Interior visit al-Helou barricade ahead of protest

Minister of Interior Mohamad Fahmi and Minister of Defense Zeina Akar visited on Saturday the al-Helou barricade to inspect the taken security measures ahead of today’s protest.

 

During their tour, Fahmi stressed that the visit comes in the context of coordination between the security apparatuses, stressing that peaceful demonstrators will be protected.

 

“However, attacks on public and private properties will not be allowed,” he added.

 

For her part, Akar noted that the Lebanese army and the security forces are fully cooperating to follow up on all events taking place on the field.
