Parliament convenes, approves illicit enrichment law
A parliamentary session was held on Wednesday at UNESCO Palace due to Coronavirus.

At the start of the session, a minute of silence was observed for the passing of Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah, former Lebanese MP Tareq Habchi and victims of Beirut blast.

Then the Parliament approved the illicit enrichment law, and also approved amending a law to conclude a loan agreement and an executive agreement with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Then, Speaker Berri adjourned discussions into the general amnesty until the afternoon session.

This as quorum was not reached during the afternoon session, prompting Speaker Berri to adjourn the session to October 20.
