World Bank Regional Director Saroj Kumar Jha asserted on Friday that the World Bank will help Lebanon obtain vaccine for its residents in order to fight against Coronavirus.
He also revealed that Lebanon will receive the WB’s help to secure a vaccine other than Pfizer, by providing a partial financing to it, provided that the Lebanese state will finance the other part.
He also pointed out that the World Bank is working with the Lebanese government and international organizations to develop a plan for distributing the vaccine in a fair and transparent manner, adding that the vaccination plan will be announced before the start of the distribution.
