President Aoun chairs meeting on Beirut Port condition

President Michel Aoun chaired on Tuesday at the Baabda Presidential Palace a meeting on the Beirut Port‘s conditions after the August 4th explosion.

 

During the meeting, Aoun gave his directives to put an end for the persistent danger due to the rubbles and the materials stored in the Beirut port.

 

This as Caretaker Minister of Public Works Michel Najjar said following the meeting that President Aoun gave his directives to lay down legal, economic, financial, and technical studies and the guiding plan for developing the port.

 

He also noted that he “agreed to allocate part of the World Bank loan to finance the removal of rubbles and the transfer of dangerous materials.”
